Superstar Salman Khan has completed the shoot of his next film "Battle of Galwan" after a grueling 45-day shoot.
The much-awaited movie, based on India-China conflict in the 2020 Galwan Valley, is being directed by Apoorva Lakhia, who has directed "Shootout at Lokhandwala."
The director posted the wrap-up of the shoot on his Instagram Stories on Thursday evening, giving fans a peek into the high-intensity war drama shot in Leh, Ladakh. The film, made on a large scale, is said to have in store intense action and patriotism, with 59-year-old Salman in a never-before-seen avatar.
Lakhia shared a picture with Salman, writing, "It's a wrap-45 days." In another post, he said, "Froze, baked, shivered, ate sand, walked in the Indus, sucked oxygen but still leaving with all those memories that make me smile."
Chitrangda Singh will be seen playing the lead lady in the movie.
Talking to PTI in July, Salman had said "Battle of Galwan" was one of the most physically taxing assignments of his career.
"It is physically challenging. Day by day, month by month, year by year it becomes tougher and tougher. I've to devote more time now (for training). Initially, I used to do it (train) in one or two weeks, now I'm running, kicking, punching, and all such things. This movie requires that," he added.
He went on to say, "For example, in 'Sikandar' the kind of action was different, the kind of character was different. But this is a physical challenge. Apart from that, working in Ladakh, at high altitude and in ice water (is another challenge)."
Salman also confirmed that the film will not be releasing on Eid, a traditionally released date for his films, but will be hitting the theatres in January 2026.
