Salman Khan Breaks Silence on Lawrence Bishnoi’s Death Threats: 'Jitni Umar Likhi Hai...'

"Bhagwan, Allah sab unpar hai. Jitni umar likhi hai, utni likhi hai. Bas yahi hai."

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan recently responded to the recent death threats he has been facing, saying that his destiny is ultimately in God's hands. The actor was quizzed about the threats while promoting his new film Sikandar. To this, he replied coolly,

"Bhagwan, Allah sab unpar hai. Jitni umar likhi hai, utni likhi hai. Bas yahi hai."

This means, "It's all in God's hands, Allah. Whatever has been ordained in fate, has been ordained. That's all."

Challenges of Increased Security
Salman Khan, at 59, admitted the challenges created by the stringent security arrangements surrounding him because of these threats, including the recent shooting case near his home in Mumbai.

"Sometimes, it becomes a problem to move around with so many people," he conceded in a press conference, which was conducted under tight security arrangements and off-camera. He went on to say, "Galaxy, shoot, shoot Galaxy. No detours."

Background on the Threats
The increased security comes in the wake of a shocking event last April when two gun-toting men on a motorcycle shot several rounds near his home, Galaxy Apartments, Bandra. Investigations later uncovered that the shooting was intended to scare the actor and was carried out on orders from imprisoned gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

Bishnoi, currently incarcerated in Gujarat, reportedly harbors resentment against Salman Khan due to the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, in which the actor was accused. The Bishnoi community considers blackbucks sacred, making this an ongoing issue that has led to multiple threats over the years.

Upcoming Film Release: Sikandar
In spite of the trouble, Salman Khan is still keeping his professional obligations in mind. He is preparing for the release of Sikandar this Sunday, which has been directed by AR Murugadoss. The movie boasts an ensemble cast, with Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sharman Joshi playing important roles.
