Actor Randeep Hooda, who is on the brink of unveiling his directorial debut 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar', recently shared a glimpse of his remarkable physical transformation for the film.
Taking to his social media platform on Monday, Hooda posted a striking monochromatic mirror selfie showcasing his altered appearance. Alongside the image, he captioned, "KAALA PAANI #SwatantryaVeerSavarkar #WhoKilledHisStory #VeerSavarkarOn22March #BTS #behindthescenes #VeerSavarkar #Savarkar (sic)".
In the shared picture, the actor appears noticeably leaner, with a receding hairline, embodying the persona of the protagonist during his incarceration in the cellular jail of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Reflecting on his arduous journey throughout the film's production, Hooda acknowledged the challenges but also drew strength from his unwavering determination.
In an interview with IANS, he expressed, "The journey was undeniably testing, especially considering it marks my directorial debut. I poured my energy into enriching the narrative. While typically, one might start with a project of smaller scale or delve into short films for their directorial initiation, circumstances led me to this path."
He further elaborated, "The opportunity presented itself, and I told myself, 'Alright, now you must approach it with the same dedication you bring to your acting'. I committed myself entirely and embraced the learning curve of filmmaking. As an actor, you may have a surface-level understanding of these aspects, but it's only when you wear the director's hat that you truly grasp their significance."
Hooda's transformation and his multifaceted involvement in 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar' exemplify his relentless pursuit of excellence in the realm of cinema.
