Unveiling the Ideological Battle: Gandhi vs. Savarkar in the Latest 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar' Promo

The latest promotional video for the upcoming film "Swatantrya Veer Savarkar," starring Randeep Hooda, delves into the ideological clash between two prominent figures in Indian history: Mahatma Gandhi and V.D. Savarkar.

In the video, Mahatma Gandhi's philosophy of non-violent resistance is contrasted with Veer Savarkar's belief in armed revolution as the driving force behind India's quest for freedom.

Gandhi advocates for achieving "Ram Rajya" through peaceful sacrifices and civil disobedience, while Savarkar argues that defeating the metaphorical "Ravan" is the key to realizing this vision.
 

Randeep Hooda, who not only stars in the film but also directs it, reflects on the challenging journey of bringing this project to fruition over the course of two years. Despite the obstacles, he drew strength from his determination to deliver a compelling narrative.

Speaking to IANS, Hooda shared, "The journey was quite challenging, especially considering it's my directorial debut. While initially, I hadn't planned on directing the film, circumstances led me to take on this role. I approached it with the same dedication I bring to my acting projects, investing my energy in enriching the story and learning the intricacies of filmmaking."

Produced by Zee Studios, Anand Pandit, Sandeep Singh, Randeep Hooda, and Yogesh Rahar, with co-producers Roopa Pandit, Sam Khan, Anwar Ali, and Panchali Chakraborty, "Swatantrya Veer Savarkar" is scheduled for release on March 22, 2024, in both Hindi and Marathi languages.
