In an Instagram video, Rakhi stated,
"There is no need to send me a summon. You can simply video call me, and I will respond to all your questions. I am an artist. I was compensated for the interview, and I conducted the interview—that's all. I did not even harass anyone during the interview."

But the Maharashtra Police Cyber Cell has requested Rakhi to come in person on **February 24** to give her statement.

Background of the Controversy
The controversy began when Rakhi appeared on *India's Got Latent* last October and had a public spat with co-judge Maheep Singh. The fight got out of hand when she hurled a chair on stage, causing the episode to be cut short. The video became viral after it was leaked by an audience member online.

Concurrently, Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, and stand-up comedian Shashwat Maheshwari** were also called for interrogation by the Cyber Cell** on February 24. Ranveer was asked to give his passport to the investigation officer at the Nodal Cyber Police Station in Thane.

What Led to the Investigation?
Ranveer Allahbadia found himself in troubled waters for uttering an improper and abusive comment to a female participant on the show, which invited a furore. In the wake of the incident, **a formal complaint was filed** with the Mumbai Police Commissioner and the Maharashtra Women's Commission.

Though Ranveer publicly apologized for his comment, the furore refused to subside. Consequently, Samay Raina took down all episodes of India's Got Latent* from YouTube in order to stem the backlash.

The Maharashtra Cyber Department has already taken statements from Raghu Ram and Devesh Dixit**, and the investigation continues.

With Rakhi Sawant now embroiled in the case, all eyes are on the February 24 questioning. It remains to be seen how this controversy unfolds further.
