Filmmaker Mohit Suri’s romantic drama Saiyaara, starring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has crossed the impressive milestone of ₹150 crore at the Indian box office, the production house confirmed on Thursday.
Produced by Yash Raj Films (YRF), the film hit cinemas last week and has quickly become a massive commercial success.
As per a formal press release, the film raked in ₹22 crore on Wednesday alone, taking its overall domestic box office collection to ₹155.75 crore.
Saiyaara is about Krish, played by Pandey, a passionate young composer, and Vaani, acted by Padda, a shy lyricist struggling to recover from a past heartbreak.
Saiyaara's soundtrack, featuring seven tracks by Mithoon, Sachet-Parampara, Tanishk Bagchi, Rishabh Kant, Vishal Mishra, Faheem Abdullah, and Arslan Nisami, has already turned musical.
Apart from the lead cast, the supporting cast includes Geeta Agarwal, Rajesh Kumar, Varun Badola, and Shaad Randhawa.
