Miss World 2024 Krystyna Pyszkova Reflects on Vibrant Days Spent in India

Throughout the pageant, Pyszkova's 'Beauty With A Purpose' project emphasized the significance of quality education for children. She found profound inspiration during her interactions with children in the slums of Dharavi.

"The days I spent in India were vibrant and diverse. We embarked on numerous enriching visits to various projects and locations. One notable experience was our visit to the Dharavi Project, where we encountered children striving to pursue their dreams through music. It was truly incredible, and I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to reconnect with them soon," shared the newly crowned Miss World 2024 in an interview with PTI.

Pyszkova expressed her intention to carry the spirited essence of India back to her homeland. "I've witnessed firsthand the determination of individuals here in India to pursue their purpose. I firmly believe that knowing our purpose is paramount in life, and I intend to carry this invaluable lesson with me," she remarked.

Assuming the role of Miss World comes with great responsibility, but Pyszkova is determined not to falter. "I am committed to working diligently, recognizing the significance not only to myself but also to the entire Miss World Organization. It's crucial to serve as a strong advocate for meaningful causes," she affirmed, highlighting her dedication as a volunteer-activist.

Karolina Bielawska, the outgoing Miss World from Poland, passed on the prestigious crown to Pyszkova during the star-studded finale.

Pyszkova's achievement marks the second Miss World title for the Czech Republic, following Tatana Kucharova's victory in the 2006 pageant.

The 71st edition of the Miss World pageant witnessed participation from contestants representing 112 countries. The event, held at the Jio World Convention Centre in BKC, showcased India as the host country for the sixth time. India has previously clinched the title six times, with notable winners including Reita Faria Powell (1966), Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mookhey (1999), Priyanka Chopra Jonas (2000), and Manushi Chillar (2017).
