Miss World Pageant Scheduled in India: February 18 to March 9

The highly anticipated 71st edition of Miss World is set to grace Indian shores from February 18 to March 9, marking the pageant's return to the country after nearly three decades. Organizers unveiled the exciting news on Friday, igniting anticipation among beauty enthusiasts worldwide.

Kicking off with "The Opening Ceremony" and "India Welcomes the World Gala," hosted by the India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), the extravaganza will commence in New Delhi on February 20. The grand finale is scheduled to culminate in a spectacular event at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai on March 9, promising a captivating display of beauty and talent broadcasted globally.

Spanning various venues, including the iconic Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, the event will witness the participation of 120 contestants hailing from diverse corners of the globe, engaging in a series of competitions and charitable endeavors.

The announcement, made during a press conference attended by esteemed personalities including the reigning Miss World, Karolina Bielawska of Poland, and former titleholders Toni Ann Singh (Jamaica), Vanessa Ponce De Leon (Mexico), Manushi Chhillar (India), and Stephanie Del Valle (Puerto Rico), garnered immense excitement.

Expressing her gratitude, Julia Morley, Chairman and CEO of the Miss World Organization, conveyed her profound appreciation for India's hospitality. India's rich history with the Miss World pageant adds to the significance of this edition, with the nation last hosting the prestigious event in 1996.
