Actress Malavika Mohanan shared a behind-the-scenes, unseen picture from the just-released Tamil film 'Thangalaan' after being praised for her role.
On Sunday, Malavika shared a picture on her Instagram with her co-star Chiyaan Vikram. Both actors are shown drenched in blood in that image, showcasing the intensity and passion brought out by these characters.
The caption read, "How crazy can you go for a role? Us, Thangalaan & Aarathi."
'Thangalaan' is a film that showcases the history of Kolar Gold Fields during the British era, to which they had come to exploit and plunder the region. The movie turned out to be a success, and audiences were impressed with Malavika Mohanan's acting in the role of Aarathi. Her performance made a big difference, adding more to the success of the film.
Directed by acclaimed director Pa. Ranjith of 'Sarpatta Parambarai' and 'Kaala' fame, 'Thangalaan' released theatrically on 15 August 2024 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. Music composition for the film is by G.V. Prakash Kumar.
Malavika Mohanan made her Hindi film debut with Majid Majidi's drama, 'Beyond the Clouds', as Tara, a poor girl who dwelled in the alleys of Mumbai's Dhobi Ghat. She had been chosen for the role amongst some of the leading ladies like Deepika Padukone and Kangana Ranaut for the role of an elder sister to the debutant, Ishaan Khatter.
Malavika has a few exciting movies lined up for release in the coming future, which include 'Yudra', 'The Raja Saab', and 'Sardar 2'.
