Karan Johar Shares Heartfelt Valentine's Day Message for Singles

The director, who has repeatedly declared that he himself is single, wrote, "Dear Single Person, today is your day to celebrate. No baggage, no drama, and endless possibilities—what's not to love? Happy Valentine's Day!"

Earlier this week, Karan also looked back on his classic film My Name Is Khan, which recently completed 15 years of its release in Hindi cinema.

Sharing a clip from the film, he wrote, "Even after 15 years, the emotions this film evokes are as strong as ever."

He reminisced about the work involved in the making of the film, recollecting passion, struggle, and ulterior motive in putting the story through. He then spoke about the way its influence had grown further over the passage of time because people connected to its message and continued to embrace its dialogues, songs, and love as well as bravery themes.

Referring to it as something more than a movie, Karan termed it a "statement, a sentiment, and most importantly, a reminder that humanity knows no boundaries."

As he marked #15YearsOfMNIK, Karan thanked audiences who identified with Rizwan's story and accepted the film as their own.

Directed by Karan Johar and starring Shah Rukh Khan, My Name Is Khan traces the life of Rizwan, a man with Asperger's Syndrome, who migrates to San Francisco after his mother's death.

He is married to Mandira, a Hindu woman who has a child from a prior marriage. Post-9/11, however, Mandira suffers from virulent Islamophobia, and the tragedy unfolds as her son loses his life through religious intolerance.

Refusing to be defined by his name or religion as a terrorist, Rizwan decides to take a remarkable journey against societal prejudices.
