Karan Johar Posts Cryptic Message After Selling 50% Stake in His Production Company

Earlier, the stake had been taken over to the tune of 50 percent by the Serene Productions of the Adar Poonawalla after taking over Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Dharmatic Entertainment. The Internet users took a strong reaction to such an association.

Bollywood multi-hyphenate Karan Johar, who recently sold 50 percent stakes in his production company Dharma Productions, has made an ambiguous post. On Sunday, KJo posted, "Competition happens at the bottom. The people at the top are collaborating," in his Instagram Stories section.

Earlier, the stake had been taken over to the tune of 50 percent by the Serene Productions of the Adar Poonawalla after taking over Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Dharmatic Entertainment. The Internet users took a strong reaction to such an association. This new strategy is designed to give shape to great content designed for the world. Adar Poonawalla will be the Executive Chairman, and he will give direction to the creative approach of the company.

Dharma Productions had been passing through a sticky patch. Most of its films released under its banner have not really clicked the box office circuit. Possibly, mounting overheads and other sundry reasons make KJo dispose off half of stakes in the venture founded by his father, the late Yash Johar.

Earlier, Karan had publicly clashed with actress-director Divya Khossla a day after the release of 'Jigra.' Divya had posted an image in the Stories section of her Instagram of an empty theatre running the show of 'Jigra.' She pointed out that theatres were witnessing practically zero footfalls for the film. She wrote in the picture, "Went to Citi Mall PVR for 'Jigra' show.". Theatres were dead hollow. all theatres dead across everywhere. #Aliabhatt me sach mein Bahut #Jigra hai, khud hi tickets karide aur fake collections announce kar diye. Wonder why paid media is silent #weshdnotfooltheaudience #truthoverlies #HappyDussehra

However, Divya seemed in no mood to accept the collections as reported, which she felt were doctored at the production house behind 'Jigra', considered one of the premier film studios of Hindi cinema.
