Kangana Ranaut's 'Emergency' Set for September Premiere

After a few postponements, Kangana Ranaut has now locked September as the release date for her political drama, 'Emergency'. The film will release in September. Kangana Ranaut took to Instagram to share the new release date with a poster of herself as the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. 'Emergency' will now hit the theaters on September 6.

The release of the movie was postponed earlier too because of the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Kangana had announced the postponement of 'Emergency' in May to campaign for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

As she prioritizes her duty to the nation and commitment to serve the country, the release date of our most long-awaited film 'Emergency' has to be rescheduled. For those unaware, Kangana Ranaut, who had recently joined the BJP, had won the Lok Sabha election in the Mandi constituency by defeating Congress leader Vikramaditya Singh.

Post her victory, Kangana got entangled in an incident at the Chandigarh airport wherein she was reportedly slapped by a CISF constable due to her comments on the farmer's protest.

Initial release slates for "Emergency" were slated for November 24, 2023, then moved to June 14, 2024, and further delayed. Now it is scheduled to hit theaters this September, and the fans are eager it not to be delayed anymore.

Apart from acting in the movie, Kangana also directed 'Emergency'. The film stars Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair and late Satish Kaushik. The movie revolves around former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
