Margot Robbie's husband, Tom Ackerley, spoke highly of his wife, boasting about how they literally have never spent time apart. According to People.com, Ackerley spoke about how both their personal and professional lives intertwined: "We don't have a toggle on, toggle off. It's all become one thing.".
Ackerley jokingly also declared he's an "honorary Aussie," and Robbie admitted he is an "honorary Brit." Lighthearted arguments – including which biscuit is king, Tim Tams or Penguins – highlight their dual cultures from Down Under and England.
Recently, Ackerley has talked in an interview that he wishes a stronger rivalry in sports was shared between Australia and England. Meanwhile, Robbie talked about a new brand she has launched with her husband and three close friends. In conversation with The Times, she drew an analogy between the uncertainty of film and the more predictable nature of flogging a new brand: "You have no idea how much it's going to make, who's going to see it, if they'll see it, or how it will be received."
Robbie and Ackerley married in a private ceremony on Australia's Gold Coast in December 2016.
