Juhi Chawla, one of the co-owners of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) IPL team alongside her spouse Jay Mehta and Bollywood icon Shahrukh Khan, disclosed an interesting tidbit about watching IPL matches with Shahrukh. According to her, being owners of the team adds a layer of tension that makes watching matches an intense experience.
Speaking at a Routes 2 Roots event in Mumbai, Chawla expressed, "IPL is always thrilling. We're all glued to our TV screens. When our team is on, the excitement is palpable, but so is the tension."
However, when it comes to watching matches with Shahrukh Khan, Chawla hinted at a different experience. "It's not exactly a picnic watching with him," she quipped, "especially when our team isn't performing up to par. He tends to vent his frustrations at me, which I promptly redirect back to the team. So, needless to say, we might not be the ideal companions for match-watching." Chawla suggested that this dynamic might resonate with other team owners, noting that many of them are visibly on edge while their teams are in action.
