The 'American Story' brand is producing more titles. The next series within the franchise has found its subject and is currently being produced on FX networks.
According to a report from 'Variety', the upcoming season revolves around John F. Kennedy Jr. and his wife Carolyn Bessette.
The list follows in line with 'American Horror Story', 'American Crime Story', 'American Horror Stories', and 'American Sports Story'.
In the first announcement since 'American Crime Story' premiered in 2016, executive producers Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson, who have been working with Ryan Murphy, confirmed that 'American Love Story', which recounts the story of John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette, will be moving forward at FX.
Jacobson told 'Variety', "We're very much intending to (tell that story).".
Simpson said, "We have great scripts on that. We're trying to figure out when it'll land. It is a story that really resonates right now. It's amazing. Many young women are looking to her as sort of a representational icon of a certain period of time that's really fascinating, and hopefully, we'll be able to bring that to the screen soon".
Variety' announced in 2021 a new series, which also would arrive at the same time as 'Studio 54: American Crime Story', to be the fourth part of 'ACS' by 'People vs. OJ Simpson', 'The Assassination of Gianni Versace and 'Impeachment'.
Anyhow, there is no news about 'Studio 54', and it doesn't seem very probable either.
The reason we can never say anything again is that once, Ryan said 'Studio 54' and it's now 10 years later and in every interview we do; someone brings it up. Nothing against you, Simpson said.
"We are working on multiple things and multiple ideas. Not that we are secretive, we kind of see what is bubbling up and what comes in. We have learned if we announce something it becomes a Wikipedia entry, he further added."
