In the gripping teaser, the actor can be seen playing the role of real-life Indian diplomat J.P. Singh. Joining him in this is Sadia Khatib, who plays Uzma Ahmed.

Based on a true incident, "The Diplomat is written by Ritesh Shah and directed by Shivam Nair. More cast members to this action-packed thriller include Sadia Khateeb, Revathy, and Kumud Mishra. Under the production team are T-Series' Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, John Abraham under JA Entertainment, Vipul D Shah, Ashwin Varde and Rajesh Bahl, along with others. "The Diplomat" was set to roll out on 7th of March 2025.

On January 16, the 52-year-old actor shared the first look of "The Diplomat" on Instagram, expressing his excitement about playing a story that combines courage and diplomacy. John was seen sporting his iconic chevron moustache in the sleek suit, as he wrote, "Honored to bring this story of courage and diplomacy to life."
John Abraham was last seen in “Vedaa," directed by Nikkhil Advani. The movie marked John’s first on-screen collaboration with actress Sharvari Wagh.
