The connection between Conman Sukesh and Bollywood is taking a new twist every day. After Jacqueline Fernandes, the conman even approached Bhumi Pednekar. Just like other times, he offered to gift her a car.
After Sara, Janhvi and Jacqueline, Bhumi became the fifth Bollywood actress to come under Enforcement Director’s raider in connection with the agency's probe against Sukesh Chandrashekhar.
According to a source of IndiaToday.in, Sukesh’s associate Pinky Irani approached Bhumi in January where she pretended to be the vice-president of HR of a news organization.
Pinky told Bhumi Pednekar that “their group’s chairman Mr. Suraj (Sukesh Chandrashekhar), is a fan of her and wanted to speak with her about a huge project and also wanted to gift her a car". The news portal quoted their source.
Next day, Sukesh Chandrashekhar contacted Bhumi Pednekar and introduced himself as “Shekhaar” and told her that “my friend Ms Irani must have got in touch with you regarding few projects and a car that I want to gift you”.
After receiving so many calls, Bhumi suspected something wrong and refused to take any gift from Sukesh, who was acting to be a billionaire.
Sukesh Chandrashekhar, 32, is now in Delhi's Tihar Jail for allegedly extorting Rs 215 crore from Aditi Singh, the wife of the owner of Ranbaxy.
