Hollywood star Halle Berry has revealed details about how she achieved her Roxanne haircut for her latest film, 'The Union.'
On Instagram, Berry posted several photos showcasing her new hairstyle and shared the story behind it. She captioned the images, “Want to know how I got my Roxanne haircut for #TheUnion? Thank you @kristin_ess.”
In The Union, Berry plays Roxanne Hall, a secret agent working for a clandestine organization in this spy action-comedy thriller. Directed by Julian Farino and penned by Joe Barton and David Guggenheim, the film also features Mark Wahlberg, Mike Colter, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Alice Lee, Jackie Earle Haley, and J.K. Simmons.
Recently, Berry expressed a desire to direct a sequel to the superhero film Catwoman, which was widely criticized by reviewers. Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to mark the film's 20th anniversary, she reflected on its reception. Despite the film’s poor box-office performance and the Razzie she won for worst performance, Berry stated, “I loved it. It got panned. The critics said it sucked balls. And balls aren’t that bad.”
When asked about reprising her role as Catwoman, Berry expressed interest, provided she would be in the director’s chair. She made her directorial debut with the streaming drama Bruised, available on Netflix, and has spoken positively about Catwoman in past interviews, showing interest in directing a remake as early as 2021.
Berry recently shared with Entertainment Weekly that she has long felt unfairly blamed for the film's failure. She explained, “I felt like it was Halle Berry’s failure, but I didn’t make it alone. All these years, I’ve absolutely carried it.”
