Govinda-Sunita Ahuja Divorce Rumors Dismissed as Publicity Stunt by Actor’s Manager

After last year's October accidental shooting incident, senior actor Govinda is back in the news once again. Reports this time have it that his wife Sunita has gone for separation and has even given a legal notice on the same.

However, the actor's manager has called these reports fictitious, accusing them of being spread for popularity.

Talking to IANS after the news broke, Govinda's manager Shashi Sinha made it clear that no such legal proceedings have been filed by the actor himself.

Talking about the scenario, Sinha said, "At present, this news is being made public. So we are keeping a close eye on it. Yes, she has given a legal notice to the court, and I know about that. But there is no idea about its nature. We have not received the notice yet."

He also indicated that Sunita's latest move seems to be bringing focus on Govinda.

You would have seen that different statements keep coming out. At times it is this, at times it is that. Sunita ji has made a number of comments regarding Govinda ji, including allegations of teaching him acting and dance," he noted.

Sinha also dispelled rumors about the couple's living setup, clarifying that although Govinda spends most of his time at his bungalow, Sunita has her own separate flat. Nonetheless, he underscored that Govinda is devoted to his wife and family.

There are things that are going on, but they're happening on their terms. It's not like there's some entrenched conflict. Govinda is the kind of guy who will always stick with his family and stand up for people around him," the manager declared.

Still, he dispelled the belief that the couple are living apart.

"They don't live separately. Govinda stays mostly at his bungalow, but he goes to his home too often. He is involved in politics, works with the ministry, and has government duties. Of course, that involves him staying at his bungalow," he clarified.
