The lead of the show, Jitendra Kumar, is joining the new season with Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy, and Sanvikaa. The Viral Fever (TVF)-created "Panchayat" tells the tale of Abhishek Tripathi, an engineering pass-out who takes up an assignment as secretary of a remote panchayat office in a small village, Phulera, situated in Uttar Pradesh, given the lack of a choice.

The eight-episode series, which premiered as the first season in April 2020, struck Prime Video instantly and managed to receive an overwhelming amount of response, which it successfully translated into a follow-up season in May of the year 2022. The third season on this streaming service was unveiled just this May.
