Deepika Padukone Boards Atlee and Allu Arjun’s Grand Cinematic Venture

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has formally teamed up with Telugu heartthrob Allu Arjun and award-winning director Atlee for an event-driven film project.

Helmed by Sun Pictures, the as-yet-untitled movie is said to be a big-scale film. The movie was initially announced in April around Allu Arjun's 43rd birthday.

Welcoming the actress aboard, Sun Pictures shared the news on Instagram with a post that stated: "The Queen marches to conquer! Welcome onboard @deepikapadukone #TheFacesOfAA22xA6 #AA22xA6 - A Magnum Opus from Sun Picture @alluarjunonline @atlee47."

The latest project reunites Padukone with director Atlee after their successful outing in Jawan (2023), a big hit featuring Shah Rukh Khan.

The movie will also feature Padukone on screen with Allu Arjun for the first time. Arjun is best known for his title role in the hit Pushpa franchise.

Atlee, best known for directing Tamil blockbusters such as Mersal, Theri, and Bigil, will likely infuse his distinctive storytelling style into this ambitious venture.

Padukone's inclusion in this movie is in the backdrop of widespread speculation regarding her reported walkout from Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit over purported creative differences. Yet, her working on that film was never officially announced.
