Social media personality Apoorva Mukhija, who recently featured in a provocative episode of Samay Raina's YouTube series India's Got Latent, has cleaned out her Instagram account, erasing every single post.
Mukhija, popularly recognized as The Rebel Kid on the internet, also unfollowed everyone on Instagram. According to media reports, the 24-year-old online personality erased all of her Instagram content on Tuesday.
In February, Mukhija was one of the judges for India's Got Latent with YouTuber-podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, stand-up comedian Jaspreet Singh, and content creator Ashish Chanchlani.
The episode caused widespread indignation on social media because of Allahbadia's controversial comments regarding parental sex, and several FIRs and complaints were lodged against all the judges. After the backlash, Allahbadia had apologized, and Raina took down all episodes of the show from his YouTube channel.
Mukhija, accused of uttering an objectionable remark in the episode as well, was summoned by Mumbai police on March 6 in regard to the case.
The National Commission for Women (NCW) took strict cognizance of the offending and explicit statements made by Allahbadia, Mukhija, Raina, Singh, and Chanchlani and issued summons to them as well as to the producers of the show, Tushar Poojari and Saurabh Bothra.
Allahbadia had recently returned to social media, releasing a video announcement that he was reviving his podcast, The Ranveer Show.
