Amitabh Bachchan Catches the Ghibli Bug, Immerses Himself in Its Magical World

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is among the increasing number of celebrities who have posted the trending Studio Ghibli-inspired pictures—following Sachin Tendulkar, Arjun Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, and Parineeti Chopra.

Expressing his views, he penned, "…and Ghibli… intrudes into the world… in the world of the realm of communication…" (sic).

Accompanying the photographs, the veteran actor also posted a video, describing the increasingly popular genre of short video content and its implications.

"And the creating of the 'reel'… another now trendy notion… one that calls for attention," he further wrote.

Studio Ghibli, a highly acclaimed Japanese animation studio in Koganei, Tokyo, was established in 1985 by the iconic directors Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata and producer Toshio Suzuki. The studio, which has gained fame for its breathtakingly beautiful films, has contributed substantially to the animation industry, applying its creative services to short films, commercials, and television shows. Recently, OpenAI’s ChatGPT introduced a new feature that allows images to be transformed into Ghibli-style animations, fueling the viral trend.

Meanwhile, on March 30, Amitabh Bachchan also provided an update on his iconic quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati, revealing that preparations for the new season are officially underway. According to him, the “initial step” in the process is filming the promo to invite registrations.

"Work is the alleviator of one's fate… and the preparations for the next season have already commenced in good earnest for the SHOW… so the first step be the promo to call for registrations (sic)," he blogged.

With an eye to the engaging quality of movies and television shows, the actor pondered, "Is it with everyone or just me… when you watch a movie or a television series, the percentage that's engrossed is so big that after some time you start to be and act like one of the people on the film. (sic)."
