Bhool Chuk Maaf to Premiere in Theatres on May 23 Following Legal Resolution

"Bhool Chuk Maaf," the time loop comedy starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, will now be released theatrically rather than through an OTT platform, producer Dinesh Vijan said on Thursday.

Earlier, Vijan's Maddock Films had announced that the film would avoid cinemas on its planned May 9 release and instead premiere digitally on Prime Video on May 16, attributing the decision to recent national happenings and increased security protocol post-Operation Sindoor.

But the multiplex chain PVRINOX fought this move legally, against the shift to release the film straight on Prime Video.

Following negotiations between PVRINOX Limited (PVRINOX), Maddock Films Pvt. Ltd. (Maddock), and Amazon MGM Studios, it was mutually agreed that "Bhool Chuk Maaf" would be released in the theatres on May 23.

Directed by Karan Sharma, "Bhool Chuk Maaf" is a film about a man who is on the verge of getting married but keeps getting caught in a time loop, reliving the same day over and over before his wedding.
