Beyond the Crown: Sushrii Mishraa Stresses the Importance of Skills Over Pageant Titles

According to her, today's landscape demands a specific set of skills rather than relying solely on beauty pageant accolades. Mishraa, poised for her maiden lead role opposite Aayush Sharma in the forthcoming action-packed feature 'Ruslaan', debunked the notion that winning pageants guarantees a film role. She expressed to IANS, "While contests like Miss India expose you to industry elites, winning alone doesn't secure a film role anymore. In the contemporary context, possessing diverse skill sets is paramount."

Sushrii Shreya Mishraa, renowned for her triumphs in beauty pageants such as 'Asian Supermodel India' and 'Miss United Continents 2015', emphasized that the era of effortless transitions from 'Miss India' to the silver screen is a thing of the past.

Grateful for her journey, Mishraa reflected, "Upon deciding to pursue acting, I immersed myself in theatre and honed my action skills, paving the way for this opportunity. Timing is crucial, but I also attribute this to destiny; being cast in such a rewarding project feels like fate."

Detailing her preparation for the film, the 33-year-old shared, "While action training and theatre experience eased the process, acting for the camera differs vastly from stage performance or classroom exercises." Mishraa acknowledged her parents' guidance—her father, an Army officer, and mother, a DSP—as invaluable. She also credited director Karan L Butani and writer Yunus Sajawal for their mentorship.
