Bengaluru to Host India's First Enigma Live Concert This October

Enigma, an outfit founded in the 1980s by German producer Michael Cretu, was inducted into popular psyche with its heady brew of music genres, Gregorian chanting, ethnic psalms, church bells, organs, and similar instruments that created very specific, atmospheric, and at times psychedelic sounds. The other partner of TIAC, Chintan Chinnappa, claimed that with such an identity, the project had attained iconic status without having ever headed out for a live tour.

Fans of Enigma in India can now rejoice as the iconic new age and world beat musical project known for its Gregorian chants-infused music is going to have its first-ever performance in the country at Jayamahal Palace Grounds in Bengaluru on October 5. "This would be the first live performance of the band in India. It will feature the original voices of Enigma – Andru Donalds, Angel X, and Fox Lima – along with a symphony orchestra, and a live ensemble of musicians and dancers," says Hitesh Mittal, who co-founded the Indian Artists Collective, a platform bringing Indian and global artists to perform live.

"So, we are only too privileged to bring Enigma for the first time on tour, that too in India, and give Enigma fans a thrilling music experience," said Mittal. TIAC has already curated two tours in India last year with rock and metal artists from Europe, and this year it will be embarking on their third event with the musical project Enigma featuring the Original Enigma Voices, they added.
