Following the firing, which occurred at around 5 a.m. on April 14 at Salman Khan's residence in Galaxy Apartments, Bandra West, the suspects fled to Bhuj, Gujarat. However, law enforcement managed to track them down to this location.

Prior to the arrest, the Navi Mumbai Police detained two individuals associated with the motorbike used by the assailants, bearing a Raigad registration number. Investigations are underway to determine the origins of the motorcycle, whether it was sold, missing, or stolen.

Additionally, the police have intensified efforts to assess any potential threats in Raigad, where the Khan family owns a vast farmhouse in Panvel. A total of 15 probe teams have been deployed for this purpose.

In a disturbing development, Anmol Bishnoi, brother of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the attack in a menacing social media post shortly after the incident. He warned Salman Khan of future repercussions, stating that the next attack would not be aimed at empty premises but directly at the actor himself.

This threat comes against a backdrop of longstanding tension between Salman Khan and certain Punjab-based mafia groups, notably the Bishnoi gang, stemming from the 1998 blackbuck poaching case in Rajasthan. Over the years, both Salman Khan and his father, Salim Khan, have received death threats through various channels, including written correspondence.
