Actress Ali Wong had a minor issue with her makeup and didn't hesitate to share this hilarious moment with her IG followers. Just before taking the Los Angeles residency at The Wiltern, Wong posted a makeup selfie video backstage. In the said video, she admitted that her makeup didn't go as planned. She had forgotten her eyebrow pencil, so she used a reddish-brown eyeliner to fill in her eyebrows.
Wong said, "I do my own makeup to save time and money," adding that she had forgotten her eyebrow pencil. Nevertheless, she used a reddish-brown eyeliner to fill in her eyebrows. In the shot, she applied it and leaned in, showing her brows. "I think it looks kinda crazy. I look like an X-Men villain," Wong joked to the camera. Her lightheartedness was contagious, as seen from the playful and supportive messages flooding her comment section.
Wong may have screwed up her makeup, but the wardrobe she wore for award season was nothing short of flawless. She graced red carpets back in January 2024 for the 2024 Critics Choice Awards. Draped in a jade-green Givenchy gown, Wong wore $238,000 worth of diamonds, as selected by her stylist Tara Swennen. They were a part of the collection, Jared Atelier x Shy Dayan, which had a necklace with emeralds and diamonds from it. The necklace was worth more than $18,000. Wong also had a platinum marquise-cut diamond ring and a princess-cut diamond drop earring, and she lifted her red carpet presence to the next level.
