"Age is just a number. I'd like to keep fit to face whatever comes with aging. Stepping onto the sets of a film at the age of 70 or 75 or crouching to pick up my grandchildren, I'd like to keep doing these things. In order to do that, I must feed myself well, in accordance with Rujuta," she said during the event.

For Kareena, fitness doesn't mean much in terms of looking good externally but is rather about feeling well. She placed a lot of emphasis on developing a balanced mechanism that involves healthy eating, practicing yoga, and doing light weight training.

"Aging is something to be welcomed, but I also believe in taking care of myself by consuming ghee, having khichdi, doing some weight training for muscle strength, going for walks, and doing Surya Namaskars. I pay more attention to these things than skin treatments or Botox," she added.

Kareena has been forever linked with her breakout turn as the effervescent and confident Geet of Jab We Met, famous for her line "Main apni favourite hoon." She still lives by those words.

"That's the attitude every woman should have—confidence in oneself matters the most. Whatever you're facing, you need to remind yourself daily of your own value, and before you know it, everyone else will notice too," she said.

Reminiscing about her post-pregnancy experience, Kareena revealed that she put on 25 kg after the birth of Jeh in 2021 and experienced a moment of self-doubt.

"Even during my chubby years in my youth, I never held myself back. I've always been at ease with myself. Even when I was a teenager, I cheerfully relished a packet of chips. Confidence has always been my pillar," she said.

In the past ten years, she has adhered to the same old known and comforting foods.

"Saif and I have both started cooking as a hobby, and we love it. It has become part of our lifestyle. To be honest, Saif is the better cook—I can't even boil an egg," she laughed.
