In Pathaan, with Shah Rukh Khan apparently moving at a brisk pace in the second part, the spy action film, where SRK featured in the titular role, turned out to be the biggest blockbuster of all time. And now with Pathaan 2, the recent update is that the script of the film is ready for dialogues.
Recently, Abbas Tyrewala, the writer-director, appeared in a podcast with Cyrus Broacha and was talking about the film. He said, "I feel that the script is almost ready for dialogue." He also hoped that he would be offered to write the script of this action film. He further added that currently the shoot of 'War 2' is underway.
'Pathaan' was the first major outing of SRK on the big screen since the last more than 4 years and went up in smoke at the box office due to its massy appeal and the 'dialoguebaazi'.
Right back-to-back with 'Pathaan', SRK was last seen in his ambitious project 'Zero,' which turned out to be a disaster and was unanimously panned by the critics. SRK made a return with a bang, considering he fought a battle on the personal front as well, with the arrest of his elder son Aryan Khan in connection with the Mumbai cruise drugs case early in October 2021.
It was later revealed that the CBI had lodged a case for corruption against Sameer Wankhede, former NCB officer. He along with four others is accused of demanding Rs 25 crore bribe for not framing Aryan Khan in the drugs-on-cruise case.
On the other hand, SRK followed up the success of 'Pathaan' by acting in an even bigger hit with 'Jawan,' where he essayed dual roles of a father and a son.
'Jawan' remained the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time until the Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer 'Stree 2' broke that record at the box office.
