Bollywood star Ananya Panday created a flutter on social media Saturday when she unveiled her first look from the upcoming thriller film 'CTRL'. Wearing a retro inspired ensemble that reminds one of a retro schoolgirl, Ananya brings a new and very attractive character to the movie that will surely entertain.
Flaunting a stunning 25.5 million followers, Ananya took to Instagram to share a series of adorable images showcasing her look from 'CTRL.' She adorns a striped shirt layered over a maroon checkered sweater and pairs this with a beige mini skirt very elegantly.
In her half-tied hairdo with playful add-ons in her getup, black socks, and fashionable platform shoes, candid shots beautifully capture this embodiment of the vintage schoolgirl aesthetic, leaving fans enchanted and eagerly anticipating more.
She captioned it: "She's out of #CTRL."
'CTRL' is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and Avinash Sampath. The dialogues are penned by Sumukhi Suresh. It is Nikhil Dwivedi and Arya Menon's production for Saffron Magicworks and Andolan Films. Featuring Ananya, the film stars Vihaan Samat. Aparshakti Khurana makes a voice appearance. Netflix will stream the film October 4, 2024.
The daughter of actor Chunky Panday and costume designer Bhavana, Ananya had made her debut in 2019 as a character in the teen film 'Student of the Year 2' under Shreya. A romantic comedy movie directed by Punit Malhotra, it was produced by Dharma Productions led by Karan Johar and a sequel to the 2012 hit 'Student of the Year, where the casts also included Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria, and Aditya Seal among many others.
Following her launch in the romantic comedy 'Pati Patni Aur Woh' opposite Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar, she further went on to work in films like 'Khaali Peeli' with Ishaan Khatter where she played Pooja and in 'Gehraiyaan' as Tia.
Puri Jagannadh directed the 2022 sports action movie 'Liger,' shot in both Hindi and Telugu. Vijay Deverakonda is cast in the leading role, with Ramya Krishna, Ronit Roy, and American boxer Mike Tyson making a special appearance.
She also starred as Pari in 'Dream Girl 2' and Ahana in 'Kho Gaye Hum Kahan.' Just recently, she appeared on the OTT front with the comedy series 'Call Me Bae,' directed by Colin D'Cunha, whose cast also includes Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra, and Mini Mathur. The series is streaming now on Prime Video.
Ananya is next featured in the film 'Shankara.'
