CLAT 2022: Registration process closed, Exam to be held on June 19

As per the official notification, the CLAT examination for undergraduate and postgraduate will be conducted on June 19, 2022. The exam is scheduled to begin from 2:00 PM and continue till 4:00 PM. The application forms for the entrance examination have ended. CLAT is held in over 80 cities. Applicants were given a choice to select from three exam centers.

The entrance examination was held on May 2 in CBT(Computer Based Mode). IMA urges Health Minister to reschedule NEET-PG exam 2022

"The NEET-PG 2021 was held five months after the scheduled date in the month of September 2021. Then the counselling scheduled to begin from October 25, 2021, was also initiated (in January 2022) after a delay due to a pending decision on seat reservations and was further delayed owing to the Supreme Court ruling of March 31, 2022, which ordered cancellation and conduct of special round of counselling for the mop-up round", the IMA said in the letter.
UGC allows extension for submission of M.Phil/Ph.D thesis

"The UGC has approved that an extension of up to six months beyond June 30 may be given to M.Phil and Ph.D. students for thesis submission by their respective higher education institutions on a case-to-case basis based on the review of the student's work by the Research Advisory Committee and on the recommendation of the supervisor and head of the department," ET quoyed a UGC official as saying.
St.Stephens refuses to abide by DU's admission criteria

Delhi University (DU) Registrar Vikas Gupta Monday wrote to St Stephen’s College Principal John Varghese asking him to “abide” by the decision of the university and hold admissions to general seats only on the basis of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) score, as reported by The Indian Express.

“The admit cards shall be issued “batch-wise” shortly. Applicants for NEET-PG 2022 are advised to check their applicant login accounts on NEET-PG 2022 index page at the NBEMS website https://natboard.edu.in and https://nbe.edu.in periodically for admit card,” it said. The students who applied for the entrance examination can check the availability of their hall tickets on the official website by logging in through their credentials.
SC refuses to intervene to reduce cut-off for NEET super-specialty courses

 “Candidates are sufficiently available for undertaking the counselling of vacant seats but the decision to not reduce the percentile is based on not compromising the merit," tbe SC bench said. “Question of whether the percentile should be reduced further is a matter of academic policy. In the circumstances it is not possible for the court to entertain a plea for directing the reduction of the percentile,” it added.

 MAH MCA CET entrance examination is scheduled to be held on August 4 and 5 this year. The three-year LLB program's entrance will be held on August 3 and August 4. The MAH 5-year LLB course will be conducted from August 2 and MAH hotel management will be held on August 21, 2022.
UGC issues draft guidelines to help students tackle academic stress, depression

“The main objective of these guidelines is to promote physical fitness and sports activities among students, inculcate a positive attitude and develop a supportive network of students. These are essential to strengthen the mental well-being of students to safeguard themselves against different kinds of stress, pressure, and behavior issues they face", said UGC chairperson M Jagadesh Kumar.
