NTA Dismisses Allegations of NEET UG Paper Leak as Groundless

This clarification came after a stream of social media reports that indicated leakage of the NEET (UG) question paper well in advance of the exam. The National Testing Agency (NTA) released a statement on Monday refuting claims of a leak in the NEET (UG) question paper. "After thorough investigation into NTA's security measures and Standard Operating Procedures (SPOs), it has been confirmed that allegations of a paper leak circulating on social media are entirely unfounded," stated the NTA.

"Each and every Question Paper (QP) has been meticulously tracked. The examination centers were securely sealed, with strict restrictions preventing unauthorized access, all of which were monitored by CCTV surveillance," assured the NTA.

Addressing a singular incident at the Sawai Madhopur center in Rajasthan, where some students allegedly confiscated question papers prematurely, NTA clarified, "The images of question papers circulating on social media unrelated to the actual examination papers administered.

Instances of malpractice or impersonation have been rigorously dealt with, ensuring proper action against the culprits."

NTA shared its analysis of post-exam data to identify cases of Unfair Means (UFM). The number of registrations for NEET (UG) 2024 increased dramatically, with over 24 lakh students registering, marking a historic peak.
