No plan to reopen schools in Delhi, online classes to continue: Parents told at PTM

The message was conveyed during  the first Parents-Teachers Meeting (PTM) that was conducted recently in Delhi Government schools. The parents were also told that the PTMs will continue in a staggered fashion until July 31 to connect with them as the new academic session begins.

The parents of students studying in Delhi government schools have been informed that the schools will not reopen anytime soon and the students will continue to be taught via online classes, The Indian Express reported.

The message was conveyed during  the first Parents-Teachers Meeting (PTM) that was conducted recently in Delhi Government schools. The parents were also told that the PTMs will continue in a staggered fashion until July 31 to connect with them as the new academic session begins.

Many parents talked about the issues they've had with online classes and the complications that have emerged for their children. Those who are unable to assist their children with their homework are forced to send them to offline tutors.

The objective behind conducting random PTMs is to introduce the CBSE’s new examination policy for this academic year to parents and to help to reduce the stress of kids who have finished class V in MCD schools and were transferred to government schools in class VI.

Chief Minister Of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal had also said last week that despite the continuing low number of Covid cases in the city, there are no plans for schools to reopen right now.
