JEE Mains 2022: CBSE students demand postponement of exam or an extra attempt

A large number of CBSE students of the academic year 2021-2022 are demanding thay either the JEE Mains exam should be postponed or they should be given an extra attempt for the entrance paper as the dates are  clashing with their board exams. The CBSE students have started an online protest demanding a 90-day gap between two sessions of JEE Mains exam as they claim they are not getting sufficient time between the two sessions. The students are  demanding that the exam should be held after central and state board examinations.

Every year during this time, class 12th students are stressed and focused on their undergraduate level entrance examinations which usually start after the board examinations in the months of April and May every year. This year board examinations will be held between April 26 to June 15. The schedule for the board exams coincides with the JEE Mains exam which will be held in two sessions this year; the first session is to be held in the months of April and May.

JEE Mains was earlier conducted once a year but in 2020, the entrance examination had two sessions in order to provide students with a more fair chance. The same schedule will be followed this year, i.e entrance examination in two sessions a year.
