JEE MAIN 2022: Exam postponed for both sessions, check out the new dates here

Earlier session-1 was scheduled to be held on April 21, 24, 25, 29, and May 1 and 4. The session-2 for the entrance was 24,25,26,27,28 anf 29 May 2022.  NTA notification released on its official site stated, "National Testing Agency has decided to reschedule the dates of JEE (Main) – 2022 Session 1 and Session 2 based on the numerous representations received from the candidates.

The latest circular released by NTA on Wednesday announced the revised schedule for the entrance examination JEE Mains 2022.  The entrance exam will be conducted in two sessions this year. Both of the sessions have been postponed. As per the revised dates mentioned on the official notice by NTA, session 1 for the exam will be held from June 20- 29, and session 2 will be held between July 21-and 30 July. The delay in the examination is due to its clash with the board examinations of CBSE students.

There was online outrage among CBSE students for the postponement of the exam and demanding a 90-day gap between the two sessions of the examination. Some very prominent hashtags used during the online protests by students were #JEEStudentsWantsJustice, #JEEMainsafterboards, and #ModiJiHelpJeeMainsStudents.

The application form filling for session 1 of JEE Mains 2022 has ended now, the registrations for session 2 will be notified soon by NTA.

NTA has also provided students with the option to correct their application forms. The official statement by NTA said "In view of the numerous representations received from the candidates regarding giving them an opportunity to edit/modify their particulars in the online application form of JEE (Main) – 2022 Session 1, National Testing Agency has decided to provide the first and final opportunity to the candidates for modifying their particulars in the online application form of JEE (Main) 2022 session-1,” the official statement read.

The correction window will be available for correction from April 6 to April 8 at the official site of JEE Mains jeemain.nta.nic.in.
