The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the JEE Main results 2021 cutoffs across categories. The qualifying cutoff for the current year is 87.8992241 which is comparatively lower than the previous year's cutoff of 90.3765335.
The results of the JEE Main 2021 examinations can be obtained from the official website at jeemian.nta.nic.in. The counseling sessions will be conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).
The cutoffs are important as they dominate the key eligibility criteria of candidates who wish to be a part of the JEE Advance 2021 examinations. Only the top 2.5 lakh candidates who qualified for the JEE Main and have fulfilled the cutoff criteria will be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced which is scheduled to be held on October 3, 2021. Candidates who have cleared the JEE Main 2021 are eligible for admissions in NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. The colleges will be assigned during the counseling process based on the ranking and seat availability.

Joint Entrance Examinations are held for engineering aspirant students aiming for admission to Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), National Institute of Technology (NITs), and many other government-funded institutions. There are around 1700 engineering colleges, including both government and private colleges, in India that offer BTech courses based on JEE Main scores.

Starting this year, the JEE main examinations were held in four sessions to provide the candidates with an opportunity to improve their performance. The best scores out of the 4 sessions will be taken for the percentile and ranking calculation.
