VilCart Hits Milestone: Surpasses Rs 100 Crore Revenue in March

VilCart, an innovative tech startup catering to rural economies, proudly announced a remarkable revenue milestone of Rs 102 crore in March 2024.

The journey towards achieving this Rs 100-crore revenue mark has been adorned with significant achievements, highlighted by strategic partnerships with farmers, farmer producer organizations, key suppliers, manufacturers, and renowned brands, as per the company's official statement.

"Every passing day witnesses VilCart's continuous growth, propelling us towards newer heights. Our workforce has experienced an astounding 350 percent surge from 2023 to 2024," expressed Prasanna Kumar C (CPK), the CEO of VilCart Rural, in an interaction with PTI.

The overarching vision entails the transformation of Gramin Kirana stores into Gramin Supermarkets, ensuring access to a comprehensive range of products akin to those available in urban areas.

Earlier this year, the Bengaluru-based startup successfully secured Rs 144 crore in Series A funding, with Asia Impact SA leading the investment round.

Since its inception in 2018, VilCart has made significant strides, presently serving a network of 85,000 Kirana stores across 30,000 villages, spanning 56 districts in South India.
