PM Modi also took a fierce dig at the Congress-RJD alliance, accusing them of bringing Bihar to a state of "migration" and "poverty."

"The lantern and hand (icons of RJD and Congress) drove Bihar to jungle raj… today's youth have heard of those days only in the form of tales," he added.

PM Modi attributed to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the NDA government the work of bringing Bihar back on the development track.

"In 10 years, 55,000 km of rural roads have been constructed, 1.5 crore houses electrified with electricity, and more than 45,000 common service centres set up," he added.

He highlighted that over 57 lakh concrete houses have been constructed under PMAY in Bihar, more than 1.10 lakh homes were constructed in the Siwan district alone, 50,000+ new PMAY instalments are dropped today, and 4 crore Indians have come out of poverty over the last ten years.

"These homes are not four walls; they are homes of dreams and aspirations," he stressed.

PM Modi highlighted that Bihar, in the way of the 'Make in India' journey, as the first ever made in the Madhaura rail factory locomotive, was shipped off to be exported to Africa.

"Today, the engine produced in Bihar will drive trains in Africa… this is the new identity of Bihar," stated PM Modi.

He also underlined the possibility of export of makhana, fruits, vegetables, and industrial products from Bihar to the globe.

"I am not a person who will sleep. I have to do much more for Bihar, for each youth and village here. I will not sleep in peace. I will work day and night," the PM said emotionally.

He concluded by exhorting citizens to remain vigilant and never let the 'jungle raj' return, using the RJD-Congress period as an example.

"Those who plundered Bihar are eager to set it on fire once again. Don't let them," the Prime Minister cautioned.
