Tata-Airbus Aircraft Manufacturing Facility Puts India on the Global Aerospace Map, PM Modi

PM Modi inaugurated the Tata Aircraft Complex at Tata Advanced Systems Limited in the presence of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. According to him, this facility is going to be a hub for the civil aircraft designs and manufacture capabilities of the country along with making Vadodara one of the largest aviation centers in the nation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday that the opening of the C-295 aircraft manufacturing facility in Vadodara has strengthened India's position as a reliable partner in the global aerospace manufacturing landscape, adding that the 'Made in India' Tata-Airbus C-295 aircraft will also be exported in the future.

The Tata-Airbus C-295 aircraft plant will lead to indigenous manufacture of at least 18,000 parts – to be made by the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the country – along with generating new jobs, PM Modi said in his address to the gathering.
"I invite more Spanish companies to join India's development journey," said the Prime Minister.
The plant is being set up by Tata Advanced Systems in collaboration with Airbus Spain.

Sanchez arrived in Vadodara in early hours of Monday for the three-day visit to India, during which he is scheduled to hold delegation level talks with PM Modi said a statement from the MEA.

On his arrival, the MEA took X social media platform to greet him saying, "Bienvenido a India!

I am starting on my first official visit to India to revive our bilateral relations. India is an important player and one of the most influential voices in the international community with whom we will address many of the common challenges that lie ahead, the Spanish President posted on X.

There are 56 aircraft in the C-295 program. Of these, 16 are being directly received from the aircraft manufacturing company Airbus in Spain, and the remaining 40 will be built at the Vadodara facility. This is the first private sector FAL for military aircraft in India.
