The silence of Ratan Naval Tata is grossly felt all over India and across the world", said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday.
In Tribute to Late Ratan Tata:
He remembered the late Ratan Tata who had breathed his last on 9 October. His absence, the prime minister said, is being sorely felt in every nook and corner of society-in cities and towns that are always agog with life and perhaps even in villages.
"Seasoned industrialists, budding entrepreneurs, and hard-working professionals mourn his loss. Those passionate about the environment and devoted to philanthropy are equally saddened," the Prime Minister wrote.
"For the youth, Ratan Tata was an inspiration, a reminder that dreams are worth pursuing and that success can coexist with compassion as well as humility."
"To many, he personified the very best of Indian enterprise with an incisive commitment to integrity, excellence, and service. Under his helmsmanship, Tata Group touched new strata in epitomizing respect, honesty, and credibility worldwide. Still, he carried all those laurels with modesty and humility," said PM Modi.
Noel Tata, half-brother of Ratan Tata, was appointed as the Chairperson by the Tata Trusts Board shortly after the legendary industrialist passed away.
PM Modi further said one of the hallmarks of Ratan Tata is unwavering support to others' dreams.
"In the last few years, he emerged as an elder statesman in India's Startup ecosystem where he invested in many promising ventures. He understood the aspirations of young entrepreneurs and recognized their potential for building India's future," said the Prime Minister.
"By enabling them, he empowered a generation of dreamers to take bold risks and push boundaries. This has fostered a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship that I am confident will continue to positively impact India for decades," he added.
Ratan Tata was acknowledged by PM Modi for always promoting excellence and challenging Indian enterprises to set standards around the world. "This vision, I hope, will inspire our future leaders to make India synonymous with world-class quality," he underscored.
Last month, PM Modi dedicated in the presence of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez to the public the Tata Aircraft Complex in Vadodara, Gujarat, as an icon for the 'Make in India' initiative in the aviation sector.
The Prime Minister added that he had the opportunity to work very closely with Ratan Tata.
"We worked together in Gujarat, where he had invested significantly, including in projects he was passionate about. Not long ago, I was in Vadodara with the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sanchez, to inaugurate an aircraft complex, where C-295 aircrafts would be manufactured in India. It was a project initiated by Ratan Tata. Needless to say, Ratan Tata's presence was sorely missed," the Prime Minister concluded.
