Addressing the rapidly changing world order, PM Modi characterized India as 'vishwa mitra' or a friend of the world. He highlighted the consensus among major rating agencies that India is poised to become one of the world's top three economies in the coming years. Modi expressed confidence in India's commitment to global welfare, attributing the nation's progress to its dedication, efforts, and hard work.
The Prime Minister emphasized India's multifaceted role in the international arena, portraying the country as an engine of growth in the global economy, a technology hub, and a democracy that delivers. He outlined the nation's priorities, including sustainable industry, infrastructure, new-age skills, futuristic technology, green energy, and innovation.
Against the backdrop of global uncertainties, Modi credited India's resilience and growth momentum to structural reforms undertaken over the past decade. Celebrating 75 years of independence, he envisioned the next 25 years as a transformative period, setting a goal to propel India into a developed country.
Acknowledging the presence of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al Nahyan at the summit, Modi credited him for fostering high growth in India-UAE relations. He called for collective efforts to brighten the future of 21st-century India, highlighting the nation's role in shaping a global future during its G20 presidency.
Modi underscored India's commitment to strengthening partnerships with the I2U2 Group and other multilateral organizations. He outlined key achievements, including strengthening the banking system, streamlining regulations, signing FTAs, and attracting foreign investment.
Highlighting India's progress in green and renewable energy, Modi praised the nation's digital revolution, expanding optical fiber, and 5G deployment. He pointed out the significant improvements in ease of living and poverty reduction, inviting the world to join India's growth journey.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the government's focus on improving logistics and transportation infrastructure, with significant growth in airports, national highways, and metro networks over the past decade. Modi expressed gratitude for the participation of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, emphasizing the deepening relationship between the two nations. The collaborative efforts, including MoUs for development projects and significant investments, further solidify the partnership between India and the UAE.
