Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday urged global businesses to seize the opportunity to invest in India, emphasizing that the nation is actively working towards its vision of 'Viksit Bharat' by 2047.
He highlighted India’s strong, business-friendly environment and consistent policy framework, making it an attractive destination for investment.
Speaking at the 14th India-France CEO Forum, PM Modi described the gathering as a meeting of the most influential business leaders from both nations.
"I see that all of you are embracing the principles of innovation, collaboration, and integration. Beyond forging business ties, you are also reinforcing the strategic partnership between India and France," he stated.
Earlier in the event, French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed PM Modi at the forum.
"It is a pleasure to be part of this summit alongside President Macron. Over the past two years, we have met six times. Last year, he was the Chief Guest at India’s Republic Day celebrations. Earlier today, we co-chaired the AI Action Summit, and I extend my heartfelt congratulations to him on its success," said the Prime Minister.
During his address, PM Modi highlighted India’s advancements in artificial intelligence, space technology, and the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
"We are aiming to achieve 100 GW of nuclear power capacity by 2047. This sector has now been opened to private sector participation," he revealed.
He further emphasized India's growing stature as a premier global investment hub.
"In the past decade, India has undergone transformative changes, fostering a stable and predictable policy ecosystem. Guided by the mantra of reform, perform, and transform, we have emerged as the world's fifth-largest economy. As the fastest-growing major economy, India is poised to become the third-largest economy in the near future," PM Modi affirmed.
He also reiterated India’s commitment to manufacturing and technology-driven growth.
"India is recognized globally as an emerging investment hotspot. We have launched the Semiconductor and Quantum Missions and are promoting 'Make in India' as well as 'Make for the World' in the defense sector," he concluded.
