Reliance Industries Limited's Chairman, Mukesh Ambani, made a significant announcement on Tuesday, declaring a substantial investment of Rs 20,000 crores in West Bengal within the upcoming three years.

Addressing the inaugural session of the seventh edition of the Bengal Global Business Summit, Ambani outlined the sectors earmarked for this investment, emphasizing the infusion of funds into education, healthcare, and non-conventional energy. Furthermore, he underscored the intention to expand Jio Telecom's network extensively, especially in the most remote areas of the state.

Ambani highlighted Reliance's existing investments in West Bengal, amounting to Rs 45,000 crores, and outlined the commitment to inject an additional Rs 20,000 crores over the next three years.

Diversifying the company's initiatives, Ambani discussed plans for Reliance Market to play a pivotal role in promoting and marketing handicraft products originating from West Bengal. Additionally, he revealed intentions to establish a new training center within the state, specifically aimed at enhancing the marketing and promotion of these handicrafts.
