India on way to become a developed nation by 2047, says NK Singh

The country has been marching, according to one of the most renowned and influential economists and policymakers, c, on a road to reach developed nation status by 2047 with a continuous focus on maintaining the current growth for another two decades. The gratitude was identification throughout the ceremony where Singh was awarded the prestigious Honor, taking him into the magnificent list of Indians that includes Nobel laureate Professor Amartya Sen and former President KR Narayanan.

"In the third term of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he and all the Union Ministers have committed to the vision of a developed India of 2047. India has to continue this growth for the next decades," Singh added.

Touted as the world's fastest-growing economy, India reached an impressive growth rate of 8.2% in the fiscal year 2023-24 and shall stabilize at 7.2% for the current fiscal year.

NK Singh is a stalwart of the economic scenario in India, chaired the 15th Finance Commission, and earlier led the FRBM Review Committee. His parliamentary experience from 2008-14, more particularly in various prominent committees such as the Public Accounts Committee and the Committee on External Affairs, only proves his overbearing policy influence.
