Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted on Saturday that his "vocal for local" campaign is paying dividends, as Indian goods are becoming known worldwide and spreading their reach all over foreign markets.
Speaking at the NXT conclave while launching the 'NewsX World' channel, Modi said that India was once considered the world's back office but is now coming up as a big manufacturing base.
"India is not only a workforce but a 'world force', now," he claimed.
He pointed to the nation's progress in semiconductor and aircraft carrier production, and the international popularity of Indian superfoods such as makhana and millets, Ayush-based products, and yoga.
India has also become a top car manufacturer, and increasing defence exports have further entrenched its position in the international market, he said.
The prime minister emphasized that India must be presented as it is, in a balanced manner without unnecessary distortions, and that the nation's true stories must be presented to the world.
He referred to the re-election of the BJP-led NDA government for a third term as evidence of the confidence of the people and hoped the newly launched global news channel would assist in promoting India's accomplishments globally.
As the world continues to monitor India in the 21st century, Modi highlighted that the nation still produces good news and leads various initiatives globally. He used the examples of India's leadership of the G20 and his participation in co-hosting the latest AI summit to show the rising power of the nation.
Referring to the Maha Kumbh, he said it was an exhibition of India's organizational talent and innovative skills.
Modi also referred to his government's initiative in dismantling obsolete legislation, pointing out the abolition of a colonial-era Act criminalizing the assembly of ten or more dancers.
He denounced what he called the "Lutyens jamaat" and "PIL ke thekedaar" for often resorting to litigation but not saying anything about this antiquated law, challenging their sincerity towards freedom.
