"Buffett should definitely take a position in Tesla. It's a no-brainer," Musk posted back in reply to the user post.

The investment in BYD, a Chinese EV manufacturer, is Berkshire Hathaway's only stake in EV companies. Even at Tesla's present valuation of over $7 billion, Buffett still has not taken a position on the company.

This weekend, Musk reacted to a post that quoted Buffett's advice on the best way to spend the final day of one's life, because Musk thinks he would spend his final day with his children.
