Air India to Commence Four Weekly Flights from Delhi to Phuket

The direct route aims to cater to the demand for more convenient air travel between the two cities, promoting both tourism and trade.

Air India, now under Tata's ownership, is launching a non-stop service connecting Delhi with Phuket, Thailand, starting from December 15.

The service, operated by an A320neo aircraft accommodating 162 seats (12 in Business Class and 150 in Economy), will depart from Delhi at 1:10 a.m. and arrive in Phuket at 7:10 a.m. On the return leg, flight AI 379 will take off from Phuket at 8:10 a.m.

Initially scheduled for four flights a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, the service is expected to increase to a daily operation from January 2024.

Expressing enthusiasm about this development, Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial & Transformation Officer at Air India, emphasized Phuket's global popularity for both business and tourism. He highlighted the airline's commitment to expanding connectivity, enhancing frequency, and offering more choices to customers, thereby contributing to the growth of the aviation sector.

Currently, Air India operates a total of 26 flights weekly to Bangkok, including daily non-stop flights from Delhi and Mumbai, along with six weekly flights from Kolkata.
