Maruti Suzuki's Renewed Focus on Small Cars: Unveiling the 4th Generation Swift

This was said by MD & CEO Hisashi Takeuchi while launching the latest version of Swift. Speaking at the new generation Swift's introduction here, he stated that the carmaker wants to sell 40 lakh units by 2030–2031 and wants to meet the varied needs of its customers.

Gnawing at the entry-level market, Maruti Suzuki India has said it is all set to energize the small car segment, which it sees making a comeback in the next couple of years. 

This was said by MD & CEO Hisashi Takeuchi while launching the latest version of Swift. Speaking at the new generation Swift's introduction here, he stated that the carmaker wants to sell 40 lakh units by 2030–2031 and wants to meet the varied needs of its customers.

Takeuchi pointed out that over 28% of all domestic passenger car sales are made in the entry-level segment, which is still a large volume vertical.
