The Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri on Wednesday claimed that he has been banned by the Foreign Correspondents Club and the Press Club of India, undemocratically. On Tuesday, the director had posted a video on twitter accusing the Foreign Correspondents Club (FCC) of banning his free speech. He later announced to conduct Press conference at the Press Club of India (PCI). However , the PCI also denied permission for the Press Conference.
After being banned by both the Press Clubs, Vivek tweeted “Wow! @PCITweets also cancelled me. The watchdogs of democracy and messiah of free speech not only banned me undemocratically but are also lying through their teeth." He also attached some screenshots of messages and calls directed to an agency that was supposed to book a PCI event for Vivek.
Later in the same day, the director tweeted that he will now have an open house press conference at Le Meridien, New Delhi on May 5. He invited all democratic and free speech pro-truth believers, media people, Correspondents, reporters, media activists and those who have empathy for Kashmir Genocide Victims to the press conference.
In the video, the director attacked the FCC and alleged that he is 'a victim of hate campaigns.' He further said that the Global Kashmiri Pandit Diaspora had informed him that the FCC was very keen to host him for a Press Conference. Following this, the press conference was scheduled on May 5 at the FCC. He also added that he was shocked to know that the Press conference got cancelled as some very powerful media raised objections to this Press conference.

He later said that "some powerful agenda driven" foreign media is part of an anti-India, anti-truth and anti-free speech conspiracy. I'm a victim of a hate campaign by the same media which has been falsely blaming India for spreading hate."
The Press Club of India , took to their twitter handle and informed that the PCI is not facilitating any event on May 5. The club only allows press conferences that are booked with prior notification and only if it is booked by any member of the club.
